Could anyone offer advice on GIF creation software for creating Knowledge Base content?

I'm looking to do what I can now without breaking the bank, but I am open to any advice. I have looked at OBS/GIMP/GAP, Imgflip, and Camtasia. Thanks!

Hi Tony! If you're looking for a quick and easy way you can always use Microsoft Powerpoint. You would create "slides" like normal but make sure to use animation to transition your slides and set your "presentation" as "loop". Once you're done save it as a .GIF.

Here's a more detailed article: https://blog-insider.office.com/2019/12/30/create-animated-gifs-using-powerpoint/

Hope this helps!

Another +1 for Snagit.

If it is a simple GIF, then Giphy.com or screentogif are good. I believe screentogif is free and opensource.

Giphy has a Mac app also, GIPHY CAPTURE, which works great. For terminals/command prompts, https://terminalizer.com/ and https://asciinema.org/ are really nice.
